Terms of Service

Effective date: 25 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of Soc_bot, a desktop application that allows users to publish their own prepared content to connected social media accounts using official platform APIs. By using Soc_bot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. What Soc_bot does

Soc_bot runs on your own computer. It lets you connect your TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts through each platform's official authorization (OAuth), and upload videos and captions that you have prepared to the accounts you choose. Soc_bot does not create, generate or edit content on your behalf, and it does not publish anything unless you set it up to do so.

2. Your content

You are solely responsible for the content you publish with Soc_bot, including videos, captions, titles and cover images. You must own the content or have every right and permission needed to publish it, and it must comply with the law and with the rules of each platform you publish to.

3. Your accounts

4. Third-party platforms

Soc_bot uses the official APIs of TikTok, Google/YouTube and Instagram (Meta). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies, which you must follow. Soc_bot is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Google, YouTube, Meta or Instagram.

Platforms decide what their APIs allow, and they may change, limit, suspend or reject uploads at any time, for example by applying privacy restrictions, rate limits, quotas or content reviews. Soc_bot does not guarantee that any platform, API or feature will be available, or that any upload will be accepted or published.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Soc_bot to:

6. Changes and discontinuation

Soc_bot may be changed, updated, or stopped at any time, with or without notice. These terms may also be updated; the effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Soc_bot after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. No warranty

Soc_bot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The source code is made available under the MIT License.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors of Soc_bot are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, content, accounts, followers, revenue or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Soc_bot or any third-party platform. This includes, for example, failed, delayed or duplicated uploads, and actions a platform takes against your account.
